A theatre tickets platform has just announced a dream job opportunity for grown-up theatre kids and luvvies everywhere

SeatPlan is looking for a ‘London theatre show and seat critic’ to attend and review up to four West End shows a month, giving the lucky candidate the chance to experience the city’s best performances.

They will be paid £50 per review as well as getting their ticket free of charge, where they’ll watch everything from some of the best seats available.

After the show, the successful applicant will be tasked with sending a photo and comments about the view from their seat to SeatPlan. This will be used on the company’s website to advise customers on the best places to sit when they buy tickets.

SeatPlan’s website allows theatre goers to see what the view would be like from a particular seat, ensuring that they won’t be disappointed when they attend and can’t see half the show.

So, not only are you getting paid to watch plays like Hamilton and Moulin Rouge, you’re also saving other fans from wasting money.

Ben Jackson, founder of SeatPlan, said: ‘We believe it’s important to collect honest, insightful reviews on shows and seats across theatres, which is why we’re delighted to announce our latest job vacancy.

‘We hope to have plenty of enthusiastic candidates apply, who are keen to showcase their expertise and give us that in-depth knowledge, to help us grow and flourish in 2022 and beyond.’

The deadline for this role is Monday January 31, so hopefuls should carve out some time this weekend to put their hat in the ring.

SeatPlan asks that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Have a passion for all types of theatrical performances
  • A fantastic writing ability with an engaging style
  • Have a good eye for detail so they can make notes about the theatre and its seating arrangements
  • Have a solid understanding of what makes a great show and an understanding of what will appeal to a wide audience

Additionally, you must be over 18 and based in London, with the availability to regularly attend performances in the city.

To apply, all you have to do is email the company at dreamjob@seatplan.com, providing your full name and age, and explain in under 200 words why this would be your dream job.
