The singer turned himself into Bradford police earlier this year and has been bailed three times after police called his mother’s house trying to track him down.

He was later arrested for the offence but has maintained his innocence, insisting he has been set up and has denied all allegations.

‘This kind of thing has gone on for ages because people don’t like to see me do well,’ he told The Sun in August after turning himself in to the police.

‘I’ve never handled the fame very well. I haven’t worked this hard just for me to be slaughtered.’

Danny appeared on the 2018 version of the ITV singing show and came sixth.

Earlier this year he was faced with scandal when a video of him snorting a line of cocaine emerged online.

‘I’ve worked my a**e off for everything that I’ve got, but THIS is how I enjoy my time after working my f***ing a**e off,’ he said in the video.

The star later said in a statement: ‘I am not going to try to attempt to defend this video, it is something I am not proud of. I take full responsibility for my actions and I would encourage anybody battling their demons to seek professional help.’
