The wildest Bachelor premiere ever: Locky Gilbert meets flirty contestants – before tears come out

The Bachelor star Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert’s journey to find love got off to a dramatic start as he met his stunning line-up of ladies before the claws and tears commenced.

On Wednesday night’s premiere episode, the former Australian Survivor star, 30, was spoilt for choice as he met a bevvy of flirtatious beauties who pulled out the stops to impress him.

However, tensions quickly reached boiling point as Zoe-Clare took offence to Areeba interrupting her alone time with the hunk – and didn’t hesitate in addressing the matter during a shocking showdown in front of the other ladies.

Areeba was none-too-pleased as the fiery redhead spent some alone time with Locky.

She told the other ladies she was going to ‘mark her territory’ and walked over to the pair who were in deep discussion.

Zoe-Clare was clearly frustrated as she told Locky he could come and find her later, without Areeba hovering over them.

Areeba later told cameras: ‘I definitely don’t think that she’s a threat to me. I think, if anything, she thinks I’m a threat.’

Discussing the matter with another woman elsewhere, Zoe-Clare said: ‘I think Areeba stole Locky from me. It’s disrespectful. If she wants to act like a child, that’s fine!’

Zoe later broke down in tears as she told producers she believed she was unfairly targeted by Areeba because of her red hair.

Rattled by Areeba’s actions, Zoe-Clare couldn’t resist giving her a piece of her mind during the cocktail party, saying: ‘I just want to say what you did was really inappropriate, and it was not okay!’

She labelled the Pakistani beauty a ‘mole’ before storming off.

Not phased by the confrontation, Areeba giggled in response.

Earlier in the night, Locky couldn’t contain his nerves as he told host Osher Günsberg: ‘Hopefully tonight I’ll meet the girl I want to marry.’

And the hunk was spoilt for choice as he met Rosemary dressed in a penguin suit and stunning Leilani who jokingly asked him if he wanted to ‘get Lei’d.’

Things kicked off with stunning Steph who immediately enjoyed a playful debate on how spicy they like their burritos.

Locky’s spice levels were put to the test as next contestant Izzy forced him to eat a chilli for her.

It was then time for professional dancer Nicole who looked incredible in a glamorous outfit as she asked Locky to do a dance with her.

‘I suck at dancing,’ Locky said, adding: I’m this big goofy guy!’ However, he proved himself wrong as he partook in a sweet little dance with the stunner.

The hunk was infatuated with contestant Irena, as he told her: ‘Wow, bombshell! That dress is amazing!’

Addressing Irena’s job as a nurse, Locky cheekily admitted: She did get my pulse racing.’

Later, during the cocktail party, Irena cheekily stripped off his shirt to feel his heart  beating.

Things took a dramatic turn as Areeba exited the car. She confidently declared: ‘I’m a boss at work, boss at home, and a boss in a relationship.’

Areeba continued: ‘I don’t let anyone get in my way. I’m competitive, and my game is to win the guy and get the rose . I don’t play games unless I know i’m going to win –

‘I tend to do whatever I want. I’m fun, bossy, and everything you dream off,’ she continued – while also executing the same assertive behaviour during her meeting with the show’s lead.

Things loosened up as Rosemary arrived in a playful penguin costume.

However, things took a fiery turn yet again as Zoe-Clare declared: ‘I’m loud, blunt and a fiery red-head!

‘These girls in this house, I think they’re going to realise very quickly that I’m not going to stand for much. I will be calling people out on their rubbish.

Contestant Laura didn't appear to get on Locky's good side as she asked him: 'When we're together, how much will you spend on my birthday present?'

‘Don’t interrupt me when I’m having a conversation. Don’t come at me for no reason!’

Zoe-Clare was also immediately smitten with Locky, telling producers he made her ‘fanny flutter’.
