Tom Parker’s baby son, a new music career and a message from Sir Rod Stewart have all proved to be a welcome distraction from his battle with an inoperable brain cancer.

The Wanted star flexed his remarkable positivity in a chat with Guilty Pleasures after shocking fans with his diagnosis earlier this year.

‘Rod Stewart reached out and asked if I was doing OK… how kind is that?!’ said the 32-year-old.

Tom says he can’t wait for Christmas with his wife Kelsey Hardwick and his ‘beautiful family’ — newborn Bodhi and daughter Aurelia, 17 months.

And despite the hurdles he faces, the new dad is relaunching his pop career. Tom has teamed up with pal Ollie Marland to form the duo, Lost + Found. Their cover of Tamia’s ’90s classic So Into You drops today.

His next stop? The concert stage — at the first opportunity once Covid-19 slinks off.

Sharing his goals, the Bolton lad said he aimed ‘to get back touring whenever is possible! Make music and continue to be as annoying as possible with our constant laughing in the studio and in general life’.

Tom and Ollie say making sweet music together is the what romcoms are made of. ‘We just started writing a few bits together about four years ago and the love journey continues,’ they explained.

‘It’s a perfect story for a movie so we’re open to being the next Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy!’

My first romantic song is about Yung love

Yungblud’s split from Halsey broke his heart… but he refuses to use the experience as a ‘marketing tool’.

The I Think I’m OKAY singer told GP that he ‘fell in love’ with the US chart-topper, but these days they are just friends. ‘We are still mates and speak about each other very eloquently,’ explained Yungblud, who exchanged Yorkshire pudding recipes with Halsey during lockdown.

He says their relationship fuelled his first romantic track, called love song, from new album Weird!

‘It’s very easy in this Hollywood game to use your ex-relationships as a marketing tool and slag each other off to stay relevant,’ he said.

‘It wasn’t about that. We were two people who taught each other a lot and that’s what that song is about… it’s my first love song.’

Yungblud admits he was crushed by the end of their romance, which came amid reports that Boy With Luv singer Halsey was hanging out with Cara Delevingne.

‘Love will hit you like a ton of bricks and no one can prepare you for it,’ he said. ‘I want people to go, “F***ing fall in love, get your heart broken and let go.” It’s beautiful and you learn so much about yourself.’ And while Cara and Halsey spark up rumours, the 23-year-old, real name Dominic Harrison, says he has ‘100 per cent’ experimented with guys.

‘I have an ever-evolving sexuality,’ he said. ‘That’s what is so incredible about my generation, we can learn about these new terms and we can go, “Oh my God, maybe I am that.”

‘Sexuality is ever-evolving. Bi, trans, asexual, be f***ing proud of it.’

‘I don’t get off on drama’… Miley on marriage split

‘When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone. I don’t get off on drama or fighting,’ said the 28-year-old, who also said the loss of their home to California wildfires finally torched their relationship.

Miley explained: ‘Me being an intense person… I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him.’

She added: ‘And I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will.’

Merry kissmas from Ariana

Ariana Grande isn’t waiting for the mistletoe to come out as she smooches with boyfriend Dalton Gomez.

Ari, 27, posted a PDA smacker with the 25- year-old property agent, who she started dating before the first lockdown.

Meanwhile the positions singer looks to be teaming up with Mariah Carey — her current rival for the No.1 slot — for a new Christmas tune called Oh Santa!

Let’s talk about sex! Dannii dishes out award for smash teen drama

Dannii Minogue was back in Sex Education class last night as she presented the hit show with an award. The Netflix series, starring Gillian Anderson, beat Schitt’s Creek to the TV gong at the PinkNews Awards in association with Amazon. Brit star Tanya Reynolds, 29, accepted the award from Dannii.

Tanya, who plays Lily, said: ‘It means so much to us to see the amazing response this show has been getting.

‘Sex Education is about acceptance, from the diverse cast to the queer representation and sexual health issues.’

A write of passage… Liam’s words of wisdom to his ten-year-old self

Liam Payne hopes he can make the honeymoon period with Maya Henry last.

Liam, 27, handed out some romantic advice to his ten-year-old self in a letter he read out on Scott Mills’s Radio 1 show yesterday.

Having popped the question to 20-year-old model Maya this year, he wrote: ‘Speaking of engagement you’re going to commit to a very beautiful, shy young woman.

‘Remember to love each other just as much as you did in this moment and you’ll both be fine the whole way.’

The One Direction star described fame as ‘lonely’ and ‘scary’ as he touched on starting a family with his ex, Cheryl.

He said of their three-year-old boy: ‘You’re about to start a totally new journey with the most amazing person you’ve met so far, your son Bear. Don’t doubt yourself at this dad thing, just look at all the things you’ve learnt along the way and surely that must mean you have a lot to give.’

I’m too Sprite-ly to be a dad again, says Rob

Four seems to be the magic number for Robbie Williams, who admitted he is toying with the idea of getting the snip.

The Kids singer was asked if he would consider a vasectomy after he and his wife Ayda welcomed their fourth child, Beau, in February. ‘Yes,’ answered the 46-year-old who joked: ‘I think I would but I genuinely think it is like Sprite down there anyway. I don’t think it would make any difference whatsoever.’

Robbie’s comments come after his former Take That bandmate Howard Donald warned against men taking on fatherhood in their 50s.
