The Wanted star Tom Parker is finding it ‘tough’ not being able to be properly involved with new son Bodhi.

The singer and his wife Kelsey welcomed Bodhi Thomas Paris Parker two weeks early last month after the star was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

He is now focusing on treatment but unfortunately that has meant he is not as hands-on with Bodhi as he’d like.

Tom, 32, told OK! magazine: ‘It’s been a whirlwind the last few weeks. It’s been hard because I’ve not been able to be involved as much. But hopefully in a couple of weeks when the treatment’s ended I’ll be able to be a bit more hands-on, which I’m looking forward to.

‘It’s been tough, not being as involved as I would like.’

Kelsey added that he is ‘around and at home’, but explained: ‘His job at the moment is to go and have his treatment, and some dads have to go back to work straight away anyway.’

His bandmate Max George accidentally let it slip on TV that the couple had become parents for the second time, with Tom revealing that he text Max about his ‘big mouth’.

The couple are already parents to 15-month-old Aurelia.

Tom has stage four glioblastoma, an aggressive tumour, and is undergoing treatment.

Announcing the news on social media, the star said: ‘We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.

‘We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options.

‘It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this.’
