The Walking Dead has revealed the first look at Rosita (Christian Serratos) and baby Coco.

In the weeks leading up to season 10 fans are going to be treated to brand new information about the upcoming episodes this week.

Rosita and Coco kick things off as her baby will be appearing in the new season.

The child’s name, Socorro – Coco for short – was chosen with help from Christian herself.

Socorro is Spanish for ‘help’ or ‘relief’, and has been passed down through the generations for several women in the actress’ family.

Also appearing in the pictures is Eugene (Josh McDermitt), who stands by Rosita’s side and clearly isn’t coping well with the whole nappy changing thing.

Josh shared that Eugene will have a unique and important role to play next season, as the complicated relationship between the baby’s mum Rosita, dad Siddiq (Avi Nash) and boyfriend Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) rumbles on.

Rosita was revealed to be expecting Siddiq’s child in the mind-season nine premiere, before getting together with Father Gabriel.

Christian, who’s a mum in real life, told Metro.co.uk how she struggled coming back to film after undergoing a C-section last May.

‘It was fun but I could really not enjoy it to fullest because that was my first episode at work after having my baby,’ Christian said.

‘She was a C-section so I was still recovering, I’m still recovering. But we didn’t quite gauge the weight – it was a real rocket launcher. They thought it was about half the weight that it was. I couldn’t carry a heavy purse, much less a 45 pound rocket launcher.’

Season 10 will see a major character departure as Danai Gurira leaves the role of Michonne.

When chatting to the Los Angeles Times, the star opened up on her departure, and gave an insight into what viewers can expect.

She told the publication: ‘I know nothing. But what I will say in my know-nothingness, the great thing about this show is they are very, very, fantastic at creating great structure for everyone’s story.

‘I was in a room where they have all the pictures of people who have left the show, and everyone’s exit has been so specific and really resonate in its own, very original way.’

She added: ‘There was no exception to that in my case, I’m very thankful for that. And I was allowed to be a collaborator.

‘But they created a very, very, very sound structure of how Michonne exits, which I was very thankful for.’

The Walking Dead returns 7 October at 9pm on FOX.
