Eagle-eyed viewers spotted that latest episode of the AMC/Fox zombie apocalypse show – which is currently in season 10 –  seemingly featured a major location from back in series 5.

A number of fans took to social media to point out how the final shot, which sees Beta’s (Ryan Hurst) gang of walkers surrounding the building where many survivors are taking refuge, looks extremely similar to a hospital location that the popular US programme has used before.

One fan tweeted: “Does that building at the end of tonight’s The Walking Dead look a bit familiar?

“The shot below sure bears a striking resemblance to the still of Grady Memorial Hospital (where Beth died in season 5).”
However, when show runner Angela Kang was quizzed about it, she appeared to evade the question.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, she admitted: “I’m not totally sure. We’re often utilising different buildings and redressing stuff and things.”

We reported earlier how the trailer had dropped for The Walking Dead’s next episode, the season 10 finale which will feature the big return of Maggie Rhee.

Titled A Certain Doom, it is expected to air as “a special episode” later this year following a delay in post-production due to coronavirus.

Maggie – played by Lauren Cohan – was last seen on screen at the mid-point of season nine.

In the trailer, the character is seen reading a letter, which fills her in on what has happened during her absence, including the deaths of her close friends Jesus, Tara and Enid.

Viewers will have to wait and see how Maggie reacts to such devastating news, but Kang recently hinted fans will get answers about where Maggie has been until now.

She told Entertainment Weekly: “We’ll see that Maggie is…. We’ll know what’s happened with her and what that means for our group.”

The Walking Dead airs on FOX in the UK and AMC in the US. You can also catch up on the show via NOW TV.
