The Walking Dead boss confirms ‘there’s definitely something there’ between Daryl and Connie as fans beg for romance


THE Walking Dead director Greg Nicotero has hinted Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Connie (Lauren Ridloff) will get into a relationship as fans clamour for a romance.

The season nine finale saw the two fan-favourite characters get closer as they discussed the events of that season.

But the chemistry between the two was noticeable – so much so that director of the season ten premiere Greg Nicotero said there might be something going on between the two of them.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Greg said: “Well I think that there’s definitely something there.

“Daryl sort of bonded with her at the end of last season. But it’s tricky in these situations.

“And I think that Daryl definitely sees something in her that he likes based on everything they went through last season. It’s sort of sweet.

“Any opportunity you get to see Daryl interacting with people, he always has that sort of shy, kind of bashful nature.”

Meanwhile, showrunner Angela Kang announced the return of another fan-favourite – Maggie Rhee.

The former leader of Hilltop last appeared on the show in season 9, before her and son Hershel Jr moved to Georgie’s community to learn about setting up sustainable agriculture and energy.

Lauren Cohan originally left to star in ABC show Whiskey Cavalier, but it was cancelled after one season.

Kang announced the news of her return at Comic Con with Cohan appearing on stage from behind a hockey mask.
