The Voice UK: ‘ROBBED!’ Viewers in meltdown over ‘FIXED’ result ahead of ITV show final

Tonight’s semi finale of The Voice UK was an explosive instalment, as it was live for the first time this series.

All the coaches – will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Olly Murs – were back to support their acts in the hope viewers would see talent and vote them through to next week.

In fact, many were utterly stunned and even the latest bookmakers’ odds didn’t seem to get it right this week as two fan-favourites didn’t get through in the end.

As Emma, 43, read out the results Bethzienna, Jimmy Ballito, Molly Hocking and Deana Walmsley had got through to the next stage of the competition, there was uproar from viewers.

Many were convinced Jennifer’s West End theatre star Nicole Dennis and Sir Tom’s loveable crooner Cedric Neal were a shoe in to get to the final.

Express.co.uk has contacted ITV for comment.

Disappointed by the twist, viewers flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts and feelings.

One person posted: “Omg what a fix A let down #fix #thevoiceuk.”

“B****y fix good one out s**t ones in #thevoiceuk,” another commented.

A third claimed: “Absolute fix, nonsense #thevoiceuk.”

While a fourth simply exclaimed: “FIX #THEVOICEUK.”

“Not having that tonight on @thevoiceuk Raging and shouting at the tv,” a fifth exploded. “I appreciate they’re all extremely talented but for me, only Molly out of those four should be in the final.

“I had Molly and Cedric as bankers with Nicole and Moya as my other two. WTF!! #TheVoiceUK.”

A sixth continued to rant, saying: “Next week I will be watching #BGT instead of #TheVoiceUK cuz the people I expected to be in the final are not there #Cedric and #Emmanuel.”

“How did @iamcedricneal not get into the final of #TheVoiceUK ?? His energy & vocals were superb. Keep singing your truth Cedric,” another viewer added.

And one fan lamented: “Cedric and Moya were robbed. #TheVoiceUK.”

Not everyone agreed, and other viewers shared their congratulations for the finalists.

“Wow!!!! What a semi final!!! Both Molly and Jimmy 100 per cent deserved their place! Absolutely fantastic!! #teamolly #TheVoiceUK,” one person enthused.

Another praised: “@Bethzienna brilliant performance tonight. Well deserved to be back and good luck for the final with @RealSirTomJones #TheVoiceUK.”

“Yes so happy for Molly and Jimmy hooray! #TheVoiceUK,” a third shared.

The Voice concludes Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
