The Veronicas star Jessica Origliasso has shared a touching tribute to her twin sister Lisa, as the pair celebrated their 35th birthday.
On Christmas Day, Jess took to Instagram to share a heartwarming post praising her ‘soul mate’ sibling – emotionally adding that ‘mum would be so proud of how you look after me’.
It’s a bittersweet celebration for the twins, after their doting mother Colleen, 71, was tragically diagnosed with dementia last summer.

Jessica wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my funniest, caring, bird obsessed, chocolate loving, kitchen dancing, BBQ wielding, care taking, ride of die, pasta making, takes no one’s s**t, soul mate @lisaveronica.
‘Only I could know how much inner strength and motivation you have shown through this life.
‘I am so proud of the woman you are, and can’t believe I’ve had the chance to do all this life with my best friend.’
She added: ‘Mummy would be so proud of how you look after me. Here’s to the next trip around the sun Lisie. I love you I love you.’

Jess spent Christmas – and her birthday – with her ‘angel mama’, and had shared a picture cuddling up to her in bed hours prior to her tribute post.
Lisa appeared to have been absent from the family moment, as Jess wrote: ‘Lisa we are imagining you in the middle my twinnie.’
The missing twin also commented: ‘Love you both so much.’

Lisa and Jessica’s mother Colleen was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia last year – which causes her thinking, memory and movement to slowly deteriorate.
The famous duo released a statement to The Courier Mail in June 2018.
It began: ‘After several years of misdiagnosis, our mum Colleen has finally (been) given a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia with progressive supranuclear palsy.

‘It has been an incredibly heartbreaking and frustrating time trying to find a definitive diagnosis. We have had incredible support from friends and family.

Following Colleen’s dementia diagnosis, Jess and Lisa moved back home to Australia after living in America for years for their music career.
