The three outfits you *need* this summer

What’s in your summer wardrobe? Go on, dig it out. A gazillion identical cami tops? Cute shorts that actually cut your legs off in the weirdest place? A dreamy dress that’s a bit too see-through to ever actually wear? We can relate. This time of year, we’re always at a total loss to remember what we actually put on our bodies all last summer.

The struggle stops here. So, let’s prioritise: we’re talking streamlined, go-to outfits you know you look amazing in, whatever the event.

But where to find them? Forget trawling around, we want a one-stop shop for head-to-toe looks. RESERVED is a destination store for your summer wardrobe: think day, evening, festival and holiday pieces that tick all this season’s trend boxes. From retro romantic broderie anglaise dresses for the dreamers among us to California girl tie-dye – a huge story on SS19 catwalks – and next-gen animal print (step aside, leopard), we basically want it all.

So it’s the ideal place for our go-to outfit challenge: to find the perfect day-to-night, festival and holiday looks. GLAMOUR’s Josh Smith teamed up with TV presenter AJ Odudu to help us on our mission. Turns out she has a serious eye for fashion and loves a co-ord.

Look 1: Summer holiday

Puff is the sleeve shape of the summer, and in a crisp white cotton blouse (£29.99) teamed with denim shorts (£19.99), makes for a chic vacation look. “It’s playful, I feel like I’m in the sun!” says AJ. Add some espadrilles (£39.99) and you’re ready for the beach bar.

Look 2: Festival

AJ channels major Coachella vibes in a tiger-print crop top (£29.99) and shorts (£24.99). She says, “At a festival, it’s all about peacocking. Go bold or go home.” As for accessories? A cross-body bag (£19.99) will keep all your essentials safe and leave your hands free for dancing.

Look 3: Day to night

For sunny days in the park that turn into wild nights out, go for slinky jacquard trousers (£39.99) and a wrap blouse (£19.99). Comfortable for sitting cross-legged on a picnic blanket, but dressed up enough for the pub after – especially when you layer with a matching blazer (£44.99).

Finally, AJ’s secret to rocking any outfit: “Don’t be so concerned about the size on the label,” she says. “Sometimes I’m a size 12, a size 8, a size 14 – it doesn’t matter, just worry about how you feel in these clothes.” We’re officially in love with this woman. Go forth and shop!
