A new stuff pack, expansion pack, and game pack are coming soon to The Sims 4, but EA still rules out any multiplayer options.

For a six year old game that nobody seemed to like when it first came out The Sims 4 is going from strength to strength at the moment, not least because it’s one of those endless games that are perfect for everyone stuck in lockdown.

Perhaps realising that, EA has published a new blog outlining the game’s plans for the next six months and it looks like a lot of new content is on its way.

As you would expect, the team are currently working from home, which has naturally meant they’ve been a bit slower with the updates lately, but they are still working on the yet-to-be-properly-named Community Voted Stuff Pack.

In addition to that though they’re also planning to release a new expansion pack soon, although they won’t say what the theme is. Apparently, the theme is a ‘surprise’, which suggests something that hasn’t been done before.

Also promised are some ‘new surprise additions’ for this summer, that are described as ‘not massive changes’ but fun extras nonetheless.

That’s as well as a third major content drop in the form of another game pack, described as ‘a major first’. The last one was themed around magic and the one before that a ‘jungle adventure’, but other ones have included dining out and parenthood, so it could be anything.

There’s also a promise to help players ‘Stay Home and Play Together’ but new multiplayer options have already been ruled out.

‘We want to help our community of players connect with each other (and us!) in this time of social distancing’, reads the blog. ‘As part of that, we Gurus want a chance to share more with you. We are not ready to spill all the details, but I am thrilled about it, and you will get more info soon.’
