Radio show HANGS UP on Married At First Sight’s Ivan during a tense live interview – after he snapped when the hosts called him ‘ugly’

Married At First Sight‘s groom Ivan Sarakula was left red-faced on Sunday night when his ‘wife’ claimed he wasn’t her usual ‘tall, dark and handsome’ type.
And while he joked about his bride’s comment on the episode, Ivan refused to let a radio duo use the incident to have a laugh at his expense on Monday.
Appearing on Hit 101.3’s breakfast with Gawndy and Ash Pollard, Ivan took aim at the presenters for labelling him ‘ugly’ while introducing him live on air.

‘Welcome to the show, the tall, light and ugly Ivan. Hello!’ Daniel ‘Gawndy’ Gawned said as he introduced the MAFS groom to listeners.
Ivan snapped: ‘That’s a good way to start off an interview if you want to get s**t out of me!’
‘Mate, I’m just referring to the grab how she didn’t call you tall, dark and handsome,’ Gawndy explained.
‘She didn’t call me ugly, though!’ Ivan insisted.
Gawndy suggested it was just a joke: ‘It’s a bit of radio banter, mate.’

However, the radio host decided he was not willing to take the chat any further.
‘Mate, we’re pretty happy to call this interview right here, right now, to be honest. We don’t really need to talk to you if we don’t want to,’ Gawndy said.
Ivan said it was the presenter’s ‘call’, to which Gawndy promptly hung up on the star and said: ‘See you later, mate. You’re a flog.’
Laughter erupted at Sunday’s commitment ceremony as Aleks said: ‘I think [Ivan’s] very attractive, but he’s not my usual type. I go for tall, dark and handsome. He’s tall…’
‘Not dark, not handsome,’ Ivan quipped.
Aleks then clarified with a chuckle: ‘He’s handsome, two-out-of three!’

After the call was terminated with Ivan, the hosts discussed the dramatic moment further with listeners.
‘These [MAFS stars] are not celebrities and they’re not trained in media, of course they’re going to get offended by things like that… because they’re just flogs,’ radio host Ash Pollard said while laughing.
She added: ‘I hate the show, so you know that made me happy.’
