Her Majesty The Queen will deliver her 65th Queen’s Speech to parliament today containing 22 bills setting out what the government intends to do during the next session of parliament as well as plans for the future.
During the speech, Her Majesty sets out new laws the government wants Parliament to approve. A couple of hours after the speech, MPs will reassemble in the House of Commons to begin debating its contents.
