The official trailer just dropped for ‘Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway’ starring James Corden & Margot Robbie

Peter Rabbit, the world’s most famous bunny, is preparing for a return to the big screen after the initial 2018 film drew in over £249 million in box offices worldwide.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will see Peter reunite with Flopsy, Mopsy and the rest of the gang for a brand new adventure. “Bea, Thomas, and the rabbits have created a makeshift family, but despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation,” said the film’s creator, Will Gluck. “Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.”

Directed by Will Gluck and written by Patrick Burleigh, the story has been created for the film but the characters are based on Beatrix Potter’s classic children’s books.

Nine months after Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed a second film was in the works, they have dropped the official trailer. Peter is seen fleeing the nest after struggling to adjust to Bea and Thomas’s marriage and the prospect of a new child. Initially lost and lonely, it’s not long before Peter assembles a crew of animal pals and leaves the confines of his garden for the big city…but trouble lies ahead for his friends and family!

Unsurprisingly, the CGI- live action family film has commanded a stellar cast. James Corden stars as the voiceover for Peter while Margot Robbie and Elizabeth Debicki returning to voice their characters Flopsy and Mopsy. Rose Byrne will join the cast as Bea.

The sequel is in good stead to be even bigger and better than the first film. See you at the cinema queue!

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway is at cinemas from 27 March 2020.
