'The obsession only grows': Phoebe Burgess pays tribute her son Billy on his first birthday

Phoebe Burgess threw a lavish party for her son Billy on Sunday, a day prior to his first birthday. 

On Monday, the doting mother paid tribute to the tot, sharing a series of moving black and white photos of his first year to Instagram. 

The 30-year-old captioned the set of photographs: ‘One year of adoring you and the obsession only grows. HB little man’.

Each photo depicted her son as he grows, the first showing him as a newborn wrapped in a white blanket. 

Another snap showed the baby in his mother’s arms as she sat in a beach chair wearing a straw hat. 

Billy is pictured in different seasons – in one photo wearing winter clothes and a beanie, in another in a white singlet in the summer months.

Sweet! Each photo depicted her son as he grows, including as a newborn 

He was also pictured playing with his smitten mother on a swing, and slipping down a slide at the park. 

Beaming for the camera, the little boy looks delighted to have his photo taken in some of the snaps. 

The tribute comes after Phoebe shared a smorgasbord of photos to her Instagram on Sunday, showing off the lavish do she threw for Billy’s birthday.

Dressed in a flowing blue frock with puffy sleeves and a pair of sunglasses, the barefoot former WAG looked absolutely delighted. 

The outdoor event, which appeared to be held near Bowral, NSW, where her parents live, included a picnic theme.  

Present at the event were Phoebe’s parents, Sarah and Mitch Hooke, who held onto Billy as he played with a pony.

Billy was also presented with a stunning cake in shades of pastel yellow, blue and green with an artistic tilted shape.

Phoebe captioned the series of photos: ‘Billy turns one. You are so loved you happy, huge-hearted little boy. Every single day with you is pure joy’.

Seemingly absent was Billy’s father, footballer Sam Burgess, 30, who was not seen in any of the photographs.

The party comes two months after news broke that Phoebe and Sam had separated for good. 

Sam and Phoebe, who married in December 2015, first separated late last year before rekindling their relationship in April. They split again in October.
