Razer has announced an updated version of its 13in Razer Blade Stealth gaming laptop at the IFA tech trade show in Berlin. With 10th-gen Intel processor, a 15mm body and weighing just 1.3kg it can stake a claim as an ultrabook that is good enough to play high end games on.
Tech Advisor was first to tease the release after we interviewed Razer’s SVP Brad Wildes at Gamescom last month.
Two matt black GTX versions packs in Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650 graphics with either a 4K touch or Full HD display and Core i7-1065G7 processor. A Mercury White edition will also sell for less with a Full HD display and the same processor, but without the GTX onboard instead opting for Intel Iris Plus graphics.
All versions of the Stealth 13 have 16GB LPDDR4 RAM as standard, up to 512GB upgradable PCIe storage and modern support for USB-C Thunderbolt 3 and Wi-Fi 6. Pricing will start at $1,499.99 USD / 1,679.99€ for the low-end model.
While that’s a good price for the Mercury White version, the attraction here is the GTX 1650 packed into the two more expensive laptops. That much power in what we can finally agree with Razer is an ultrabook is something that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Hopefully we will soon as we will be hunting it down on the IFA trade show floor.
All three Stealth 13s feature the familiar Razer Chroma RGB keyboard and a Windows Hello for easy login. The great thing about the size and relative portability of these new laptops is that you could feasibly use it as your regular Windows laptop that also happens to be able to run every game going.
It’s very likely that battery life will be comically low, but that’s the trade off here for the fact this laptop is so darn thin considering the specs it’s packing. When we get it in for review it’s more than likely going to go in near the top of our best gaming laptop rundown.
Razer also updated its popular Blade 15 laptop. The Base models now ship with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics. A tidy upgrade, though it’s notable that these version will run 9th-gen Core i7 chips still compared to the Stealth 13’s upgrade to 10th-gen.
