The new-gen accessory brands to have on your radar this summer

Accessorising is the best part of summer fashion.

From wide-brim straw hats and animal print sandals, to cyber sunglasses and beach-ready shell jewellery, there are many ways to inject a sunshine upgrade into your new season looks.

At Coachella, celebrity attendees provided much inspiration by showcasing up-and-coming labels.

These are the new-gen accessory brands to keep on your radar.

Zarqua

Fashionable fans: Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner’s go-to shoe designer at Coachella 2019 was without a doubt Zarqua. The upcoming Tbilisi brand, created by former model Nina Zarqua, was responsible for the 23-year-old’s stylish (if not a little unsuitable) festival footwear on day three of the festival.

The reality star and model turned heads as she arrived in a pair of sparkly silver mules with an on-trend architectural heel. Not our first choice for a muddy UK festival, but the perfect garden party bling.

Expect big things from Zarqua.

Jacquie Aiche

Fashionable fans: Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens and Alessandra Ambrosio

With fashionable fans including Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio and Vanessa Hudgens, Jacquie Aiche is about to become a must-have jewellery box addition.

With Middle Eastern influences, the bohemian creations include fine gold pieces, precious gemstones necklaces and luxury diamond keepsakes. All of which are meant to be layered and stacked to create the perfect boho vibe.

Former Victoria’s Secret model Ambrosio layered four of the brand’s delicate necklaces at the festival, while Hadid wore a blue 14k opal inlay eye pendant and actress Vanessa Hudgens was seen with the label’s special snake skin lighter necklace.

Gelareh Mizrahi

Fashionable fans: Kylie Jenner, Emma Roberts and Olivia Culpo

It’s no secret that teeny-tiny bags are having a moment.

If you thought Jacquemus was the only designer with a penchant for palm sized bags, just wait until you see Gelareh Mizrahi.

Having previously worked for Chanel, Mizrahi branched out on her own in 2013 to specialise in python-embossed bags. Kylie Jenner chose the latest Itsy Bitsy Micro Mini to accessorise her skintight sequin dress and matching gloves.

Influencer Olivia Culpo sported two bags from the brand at the festival. We love the dinky pink micro tote with string pearl strap.

You’ll find Gelareh Mizrahi in Selfridges.

Area

Fashionable fans: Kendall Jenner, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande

New York-based womenswear and accessory brand Area is on the rise in 2019 following a dazzling autumn/winter 2019 show at New York Fashion Week.

During a surprise appearance at Coachella, Katy Perry donned a full custom head-to-toe Area look, including metallic boots, extra large diamante hoop earrings and a crystal net slip dress.

And Kendall Jenner seems to love the brand’s square Ling Ling Bag so much she used it on both days of the festival.
