The most used phrase in Friends has been revealed – and it's not THAT Ross and Rachel one

The most used catchphrase on Friends has been revealed.

Despite coming to an end over a decade ago, fans of Friend are just as crazy about the beloved sitcom as ever.

Now, an eagle-eyed fan with a lot of time on their hands has made a list of the most used lines on the show.

With so many iconic catchphrases embedded in pop culture, you might be surprised at the line that came out on top.

While many fans might think that the top spot would go to Janis’ well-remembered “Oh my God” phrase, it turns out they’d be wrong.

The most-used phrase in the series is – wait for it – Joey’s classic line: “How you doin’?”

The classic line is used a total of 19 times by Joey and a slew of other characters during the show’s ten series run.

“Oh my God” is used a total of 12 times, while Ross and Rachel’s “We were on a break” is the third most used over all.

It comes after a new poll suggested that Ross is the most hated Friends character.

According to Metro, an overwhelming 44% of Friends fans think he’s the worst of the gang.

The girls of the group faired much better, with Rachel, Phoebe and Monica only scoring 12%, 9% and 6% respectively.

Joey and Chandler were revealed as the most liked, with just 2% thinking they’re the most annoying.

You can stream Friends on Netflix UK
