The Masked Singer brought viewers to their knees this evening as contestant Fox performed once again. As perhaps one of the best singers in the show, viewers and judges are simply dying to find out the identity of the enigmatic entertainer.
Although a number of clues were dropped this evening about her true identity, nothing really stood out.
However at the end of her performance, Fox held up a photo of The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett.
Unfortunately for Fox, disaster struck as she picked up the portrait and presented it to the camera upside down.
Devastated, the character made some gestures to suggest she was unhappy with how she had messed up her final routine.
However, fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that this was a planned out move that meant more than it seemed.
Viewers quickly began pointing out that one of the celebrities supposedly under the Fox mask was Carol Vorderman.
Carol only has one connection with host Joel, and that’s their shared time in the jungle on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The portrait of Joel held upside down could indeed be alluding to the fact the pair spent time together Down Under.
Writing out this theory, one fan said: “I Reckon That Fox Masked Singer Is Carol Vordermann?
“She Was In The Jungle With Joel. Holding The Photo Upside Down…?! #TheMaskedSingeruk.”
Another agreed, saying: “Carol Vorderman clearly #TheMaskedSingerUK.”
A third said: “Im saying the fox is Rita Simons my son says Carol Vorderman #TheMaskedSingerUK.”
This wouldn’t be the first reality show Carol has done, so fans know she isn’t against it.
But could she hold a note as well as Fox has done each week?
Meanwhile, viewers have also convinced themselves Duck is Diane Abbott.
A connection was first pointed out by Jonathan Ross that the singer was into politics.
