The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4 confirmed

Mrs. Maisel will be back! A fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been ordered by Amazon only a week after season three’s premiere on December 6th, according to Deadline. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season four renewal also comes only a few days following the series’ two Golden Globes nominations ( Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, and Best Actress) were announced.

Created by Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel stars Rachel Brosnahan in the title role of Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a housewife living in 1958 New York City who decides she wants to become a stand-up comedian. Season three sees Midge on tour with manager Susie (Alex Bornstein). In addition to Brosnahan and Bornstein, the series also stars Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, and Jane Lynch. It originally premiered in 2017.

“We were thrilled to hear that for the fourth time, we do not have to pack up and vacate the premises,” said Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino in a statement. “We’d like to thank Amazon for all their faith and support, their partnership and enthusiasm, and for letting us hang with our favorite people, the cast and crew of Maisel, for a little while longer.”

Amazon seems to be happy with the performance of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which has won 16 Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been a worldwide phenomenon, and season three has been no exception, with the series’ most watched opening weekend ever,” said Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios. “We’re so happy that our Prime Video customers will get to see Midge’s story continue in season four. Amy and Dan have created such funny, charming, relatable characters, all with their inimitable wit and eye for detail, and our customers around the world will be delighted to have another season in the world of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
