The Mallorca Files follows two main characters as they fight crime on the island of Mallorca. This police drama which first aired on the BBC last year has a playful tone and features Detective Miranda Blake (played by Elen Rhys) and German Detective Max Winter (Julian Looman). The cop drama is filmed across a number of beauty locations – and it is actually set in Mallorca.
The light-hearted series is set on the Mediterranean island and Palma, an old city, was used as a backdrop for a lot of the scenes.
Other locations include the Palma de Mallorca Airport and the Ses Cases del Virrey hotel.
Mallorca includes some beautiful vineyards and for episode five of the first series ‘Sour Grapes’, crews headed to Bodegas Oliver Morgagues.
The cast includes Maria Fernandez-Ache as Police Chief Ines Villegas, Tabata Cerezo as Carmen Lorenzo, Tanya Moodie as Abbey Parker and Denis Schmidt as Christian.
