The premiere of the new live action remake of The Lion King took place on Tuesday night in Hollywood.
And critics flocked to Twitter to praise the sure to be hit Disney film when it arrives in theaters on July 19.
One critic, Beatrice Verhoeven, called it a ‘visual masterpiece that will leave you smiling and crying the whole time.’

She continued: ‘It’s a true testament to the lasting effect Disney movies have on all generations.’

Timon is voiced by Billy Eichner and Pumbaa by Seth Rogen; Beyonce voiced Nala, Simba’s best friend.
