Just months after announcing their reunion, The Jonas Brothers will be returning to the UK for the first time in nearly a decade for this year’s Capital Summertime Ball.

The boy band finally put fans out of their misery after confirming their reunion in February, and now Nick, Joe and Kevin will be breaking their 10 year hiatus from the UK stage in June alongside Mark Ronson, 5 Seconds of Summer and Ellie Goulding to name a few.

The singers, who first shot to fame in 2005 as Disney stars, have already been making history with their return after becoming the first boy band in 16 years to get a Billboard number 1 with their comeback single, Sucker.

And their first UK show doesn’t look set to disappoint fans either, as their new album – Happiness Begins – is set to drop just a day before their highly anticipated performance.

The brothers have come a long way since their humble purity ring roots, with Nick getting hitched to Priyanka Chopra, Kevin enjoying parenthood with wife Danielle, and Joe about to jump the broom with Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner – there’s a lot of song inspiration for the trio.

The announcement was the latest in a line of artist announcements for the annual music festival, with capital’s Roman Kemp also revealing a host of other A-listers for the event on his breakfast show.

Joining the Jonas Brothers on stage in June will be super DJ/producer Mark Ronson who will no doubt be pressing play on some of his biggest hits including his latest helping, Nothing Breaks Like A Heart, featuring Miley Cyrus.

The multi-award winning DJ already surprised fans in London with an unexpected acoustic debut of his new single with the Wrecking Ball singer – could we see another surprise appearance from Cyrus at the Summertime Ball?

Either way, Ronson has a lot to smile about after the single taken from his latest album – Late Night Feelings – already racked up 332 million streams worldwide and over 100 million video views.

The 43-year-old also hasn’t been doing too bad on the award front either this year, with the producer scooping up gongs for Best Male and The Global Special Award at The Global Awards 2019 in March.

And Ronson isn’t the only award winning artist to be billed for Capital’s Summertime Ball this year. Ellie Goulding will also be returning to the stage with her classic festival ready hits alongside her rather catchy new single, Sixteen, which is already proving a hit with fans.

The Brit stars will also be joined by cool kid Khalid who will no doubt be belting out his Billboard number one hit, Talk, during his debut Summertime Ball performance which is said to be ‘unmissable’.

Other stars also announced so far for Capital’s Summertime Ball include rising star Halsey and Australian rock-pop band 5 Seconds of Summer.

More huge names are set to be announced for the bill at 6am tomorrow morning, with Roman, Vick and Sonny on their Capital breakfast show.

We wonder who else might be on the line-up.
