Three out of four of The Greatest Dancer finalists have either appeared on Simon Cowell’s talent shows or performed with the Strictly Come Dancing professionals.

Ballroom dancers Michael and Jowita, youngsters Lily and Joseph, and Harrison have either made television appearances in the past, worked with Simon Cowell or won a talent competition.

The other remaining act, Dancepoint, is the exception.

Solo performer Harrison Vaughan won CBBC’s Taking The Next Step back in 2017, while Lily and Joseph’s Lily auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent as part of Cartoon Heroes in 2018.

Although Lily’s dance troop was called back to the second round, they failed to make it to the semi-finals.

On top of that, Michael, from Michael and Jowita, competed on both Poland’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance.

More recently, he and his wife performed alongside Strictly Come Dancing professionals Neil and Katya Jones during their Somnium: A Dancer’s Dream show.

Simon’s company Syco is behind The Greatest Dancer, as well as the Got Talent franchise.

The winner of The Greatest Dancer will be crowned on Saturday, where the champion will be awarded with a trophy and £50,000.

Last year saw champ Ellie Fergusson perform on Strictly Come Dancing alongside judge Oti Mabuse.

Metro.co.uk has contacted The Greatest Dancer for comment.

The Greatest Dancer finale airs on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
