Jeremy Clarkson made a hasty exit after finding a toad down his toilet.

The Grand Tour presenter spotted the surprise visitor chilling out in the loo and called on his fans on Instagram to help.

He said: ‘This is an EMERGENCY and I need advice’ along with a video of the slippery creature chilling out on the side of the toilet bowl before plopping into the water.

Jeremy, who is currently traveling around southeast Asia, shared a second clip of his new friend a couple of hours later still sat in the bog, with the host joking: ‘May contain turd.’

Despite getting plenty of ridiculous tips from his followers (‘fight it to the death’), one fan put forward something more sensible.

‘Turn the water to the toilet off it you. Then use a hanger or something similar to coax the toad out,’ they said.

He later added he was dealing with the situation ‘by fleeing’, and posted a sped up clip of himself clambering along a cliff and taking in the scenery.

The vids come after the 58-year-old made a passionate plea to the people of China to ‘pick litter up’ in a rant over plastic bottles on the beach.

Sitting in a boat surrounded by rubbish, Jeremy said: ‘And in half an hour this is how much plastic we have picked up.’

Asking the camera man to pan around the little boat, he said: ‘Look at this.’

‘And I’m sorry but…’ the star then began to rummage through the bottles before picking them up one by one while chanting: ‘Chinese, Chinese, Chinese, Chinese…’

Looking into the camera, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Host said: ‘People of China, pick your fucking litter up.’
