The Grand Tour’s James May roped into looking like a ‘t*t’ as he shows off new wheels

The Grand Tour star James May has revealed his new set of wheels on Instagram…well, kind of.

James was seen posing with his new car in a posed picture complete with him on his knees in front of the vehicle with his arms in the air in victory.

What, no jazz hands, James?!

The 56-year-old petrol head is clearly pleased with his new purchase, but has been convinced to wait off for a while and instead reveal it on Drive Tribe – the online car community fronted by him, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond.

He wrote alongside the picture: ‘I’m planning a reveal of my new wheels, in the style of a YouTube influencer (sic), on DriveTribe, soon. They made me do this and I know I look a tit.’

Something tells us this is going to turn into a meme faster than one of Jezza’s supercars…you can’t have a blue screen in a picture without the internet taking full advantage of it, after all.

The new photo comes after his return from filming The Grand Tour – which, by all accounts, suffered a fair few near-death experiences, and not all of them from Hammond this time.

Among the destinations for the upcoming fourth season of the show, which will be the first without the audience tent, was Vietnam, where the gang took to riding around on bikes instead of their nifty four-wheel drives.

None of them seemed particularly happy with this.

While we’re yet to see the results, Jeremy admitted on Twitter while he was over there: ‘I’ve had some fucking weird days at work in the past but today takes the cake.

But while we’re waiting to see what happens there, James is actually set to front his own travel show, One Man in Japan.

It’s about one man (James) as he journeys around Japan…unsurprisingly.

Ditching Hammond and Clarkson for a bit, the world traveller has gone to find himself across the Asian country.

‘It’s a class A stimulant for all the senses, and an etiquette minefield for the unwary,’ he told the audience.

‘I intend to immerse myself in it completely, in the pursuit of enlightenment and life balance. And I bet the noodles will be fantastic.’

The Grand Tour is available now on Amazon Prime Video
