The Grand Tour: Richard Hammond blamed for Pompeii wreckage as shocking image emerges

The Grand tour hosts have seen their fair share of crashes and mishaps over the past three seasons and at first-look it seems next year’s will be no different after James May added a shocking image to his Instagram account.

The host posted an image of two men assessing the damage to a wall in Pompeii as a large chunk of the stone appears to be missing.

The caption reads: “Pompeii, mending mysterious damage to wall.”

Fans were quick to point fingers at who’s poor judgment could have possibly done the damage and it seems Richard Hammond is receiving most of the blame.

Commenting on the post, one fan said: “Did Hammond wreck again?.”

A second added “Hammond not again.”

“Was Hammond driving around there?” joked a third user.

However, fans seem to have it all wrong as the host wasn’t even in the country at the time of the snap.

It seems as though James May took the photo on holiday rather than during his time filming the Grand Tour.

However, the judgment comes as no surprise as the team have been in their fair share of near-fatal accidents at while filming the hit driving show.

Although the snap may not be part of the collection of spoilers posted by the show hosts, James May recently posted some other interesting news.

In his latest Instagram post, James May has teased a new ride he will be testing out, with the vehicle to be revealed in an “influencer” style YouTube video.

The picture shows a blanked out car with the presenter posed on his knees with his arms outstretched, but it seems he wasn’t too pleased about the dramatic pose.

The caption reads: “I’m planning a reveal of my new wheels, in the style of a YouTube influencer (sic), on DriveTribe, soon. They made me do this and I know I look a tit.”

The post proved popular with the petrol heads as floods of comments poured in as fans tried to uncover what hiding behind the star’s Jazz hands.

One user commented: “I would say Lamborghini Urus because it’s very high.”

A fair few guessed the star was hiding in the new Fiat Panda in the snap, but a third user seemed to think co-host Jeremy won’t be too happy about the latest set of wheels.

The user added: “It’s a Tesla Model X or even an electric/hybrid Range Rover.Going green there Mr. May, don’t tell Jeremy.”

Other guesses consisted of a Dacia Sandero, the latest Defender, a transit van and even a black cab.

The Grand Tour seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Amazon Prime now.
