The Grand Tour host Jeremy Clarkson swaps Ferraris for tractors in new FARMING show

The Grand Tour is all about the big and the bold supercars with hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond speeding around race tracks in the world’s most fantastical vehicles.

However, it seems Jeremy is about to take a detour none of his fans would have seen coming.

The presenter is set to front a new show on Amazon Prime which tackles farming.

Jeremy, 59, announced the programme this weekend and set about differentiating I Bought A Farm from the likes of Countryfile.

He told the Sunday Times how he is now “environmentally aware” and wants to invite viewers into his life in Chipping Norton, where he owns 1,000 acres.

Jeremy explained: “This is not Kate Humble – much as I like Kate Humble – with 20 acres, bottle-feeding a lamb.

“Or a TV presenter who grows veg in his back garden. This is actual farming. Life, death and form filling.”

The host added: “We’re not making Countryfile. We’ll be showing it warts and all.

“For example, I have no view on badger culling in terms of whether it’s necessary, but if it’s happening, we will not shy away from putting it in the programme.”

The presenter went on to explain how the show will focus on food-supply shortages and explained how humans have “just 90 years before we run out of food”.

Despite his new venture, Jeremy is still his old self as he’s confirmed he hasn’t gone vegetarian.

He joked: “I do eat chicken. But that’s just a vegetable with a head.”

Meanwhile, The Grand Tour fans are eagerly awaiting season four of the car show.

It will be a slightly different affair for viewers as the tent element has been scrapped.

In the last episode for season three, Jeremy announced a slightly different format for next year.

He explained: “Tell you what though, we haven’t had some laughs. In all the years we’ve worked together, every single time one of us fell over, there was never any sympathy.

“We just burst into laughter straight away.

“We do have some good news, We’re not stopping! The show as you know it is ending and that’s very upsetting for us: the audience and this sort of thing and the track.

“But who’d like to see us doing more big adventures? Road trips? Specials?”

The Grand Tour will return to Amazon Prime.
