THE Circle viewers think catfish Sammie is about to be exposed after a huge slip up ahead of the final.
James, 26, has adopted the persona of Sammie, a single mother, and has played an incredible game so far by referring to son Charlie throughout the show.
But in Thursday night’s penultimate episode, the recruitment consultant received a video message from his mum, who was supposed to be looking after fake grandson Charlie.
James became emotional as his mum egged him on and later discussed his video message with the other members of the Circle.
He said: “How amazing was that? I can’t remember the last time I cried so much.”
But savvy player Tim, 58, picked up on the fact that Sammie had forgotten to mention Charlie – for the first time – and remarked: “She didn’t mention Charlie”.
Viewers agreed that Sammie aka James had made her first slip up and had “f****d” her chances of taking home the £100,000 prize on Friday night.
One person said: “When Tim tells Georgina that Sammie’s mum did not mention Charlie, it’s game over for Sammie”
Another tweeted: “That’s the thing a “single mum” would have gushed about most…. big big slip up #Sammie you could have fu****d yourself there #TheCircle“
Another viewer wrote on Twitter: “James/Sammie has f**** up there. Why wouldn’t Charlie be with his mum!? She’s looking after him! Ahhh mate. Have him Tim. HAVE HIM.”
Despite going into the game catfishing, James believes he is doing it for the right reasons as he sees winning the competition as an opportunity to change his family’s life for the better.
However, he became consumed by trying to knock Ella and Woody off the top spot – and has succeeded with Ella, who was eventually blocked from The Circle on Thursday night.
After the final influencer chat came the final blocking and Georgina picked Ella.
The pair hugged and danced in Ella’s living room after Georgina went to tell her pal face to face.
Georgina explained her decision saying that there were questions raised about Ella ruffling feathers, and told her about her Circle of Trust which was set up by catfish Sammie (James) and Paddy.
The 2018 winner of The Circle was catfish Alex, who earned the cash prize of £50,000.
But he also emerged as the viewer’s champion and was awarded with £25,000.
That took his total prize winnings to an incredible £75,000.
