The former GP, who is currently living with Parkinson’s Disease, has also been displaying symptoms of the COVID-19 virus.
Taking to Twitter, Sinha, 49, spoke out on the death of Jon Jacob, who passed away on Tuesday.
He also went on to say that he was feeling “fairly unwell” after his first announcement that had also displayed symptoms.
And following the death of Jon, Paul said he would be taking a step back from social media while he was recovering.
Paul said: “1/4. Yesterday I tweeted a tribute to a departed friend. I deleted the tweet after a few minutes because so many of the replies talked about ‘my loss’ rather than that of his family. I then fell asleep.”
He went on to add: “3/4 I’m already fairly unwell and I had to deal with anger and guilt in equal measure yesterday. The net result is…
“I will be taking a massive step back on here. I’m shattered. Everyone, please stay safe.”
Over the weekend the star said he had started social distancing too late after being struck down by the illness.
He said: “Although I cant be sure and i cant be tested it seems likely I have coronavirus.
“Started social distancing a few days too late. Anyone upsets me; I’ll be around to sneeze in your home.”
Since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in June 2019, Paul has vowed not to let it take over his life.
Speaking to The Guardian he said: “The thing that has changed most since the diagnosis is that I’ve lost my fear.
“I’ve always been one of those comics who doesn’t say much on panel shows because I’m terrified of saying the wrong thing or offending the wrong person.
“But now, I’ve lost all that. I’ve got the exaggerated carpe diem that a lot of people get with their diagnosis.”
The Chase airs at 5pm weekdays on ITV.
