Bradley Walsh’s most iconic gaffes
Earlier this year, fans of The Chase were dismayed when Bradley ruled out a contestants answer, only for him to get it wrong himself.
With £20,000 on the line and a full team in the Final Chase, the team were asked: “How many members performed with iconic 60s band The Monkees?”
They answered four – Davy Jones on the guitar, Micky Dolenz on drums, and Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork on piano.
Bradley insisted this was wrong and said the answer was actually three, prompting viewers to take to Twitter to hit out at Bradley’s argument.
Despite their answered not being allowed, Shaun, who was the Chaser that evening strolled to victory.
And Bradley overlooked his ‘wrong answer’ telling the team: “Do you know what pushbacks wouldn’t have made a difference. That’s the way it goes.”
Another time when Bradley got those at home confused was during an episode which aired on ITV last month.
Bradley was interviewing a contestant before they faced the Cash Builder round and asked her what she would like to spend the prize money on should she win any.
Jackie said how she would like to see her sister, but unfortunately she lived in Canada, and Bradley replied: “We’ll get you to Canadia.”
