The Capcom Cafe Street Fighter food menu is legitimately amazing

This is Sakura in Bento box form (not Ryu – he’s a glass of soda)

Capcom has begun a food-based homage to Street Fighter, with a Dhalsim fire curry and a cool glass of Poison.

If you happen to be in Tokyo this year, perhaps for the Olympics, then we strongly advise you take a trip down to the Capcom Cafe in Shinjuku.

Shinjuku is Tokyo’s main shopping district anyway, so not exactly off the beaten path, but they’ve just started a new Street Fighter themed menu and we’re not sure what the pictures have inspired more: our desire to eat or to play Street Fighter (we recommend the just released Street Fighter V: Champion Edition).

We should emphasise we’ve never tasted any of this, and we don’t know if it’s a limited time thing, but Ryu has never looked tastier than this.

Everyone loves Blanka, especially when he’s a plate of omurice
Guile as a ‘hard-boiled’ burger – the onion rings are his sonic booms
Dalsim yoga fire curry and growing fist cheese dip, obviously
Ryu in his Calpis soda form
The eyepatch means this one is Sagat, apparently it’s an iced coffee and green smoothie
Chun-Li, first lady of gaming, is a mixture of chocolate and Curaçao syrup, and soda
Poison is actually grape juice, drinking yogurt, and soda
Final boss Gill is a mix of strawberry and Curaçao syrup, soda, and mango whip

The Capcom Cafe is not to be confused with Plaza Capcom in Ikebukuro, which has its own unique Resident Evil VR game. Although again, we’re not sure whether that’s a time-limited thing or not.
