The Big Bang Theory ended in May after a popular 12 series of the CBS hit, and fans have many questions about what’s next for apartment 4A.
After the success of the show’s spin-off Young Sheldon (played by Iain Armitage), fans are wondering if there will be another one where fans can find out what’s next for Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and the gang.
Season 12 ended with the main characters all seeming to move on with their lives, with Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon winning the Nobel prize and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) expecting their first child.
However, director Mark Cendrowski has hinted their stories won’t end there, as he teased there could be another spin-off a couple of years down the line.
Speaking to Forbes, the director revealed that a “continuation” of characters lives could be possible further down the line.
Mark said: “At the end of The Big Bang Theory’s run, once we decided to end the show, Chuck Lorre, the creator, was like, ‘Look not everyone’s involved in this, it’s not a Big Bang episode’.
“That’s not to say that there may not be something down the line, but I don’t think anyone wanted to jump into the next season and spin someone off immediately.
“I think the idea of letting things percolate a little, and you don’t want to cash in.”
Although a spin-off isn’t likely to appear just yet, the director hasn’t ruled out the idea and said he would ‘love to be involved’ should producer Chuck Lorre decide to bring back any original characters.
He added: “That doesn’t mean that won’t happen and, in a couple of years, maybe it’s a character or a couple of characters that catch up within a couple of years. Who knows if it will happen.

“Your profession is a swindle and your livelihood is dependent on the gullibility of stupid people. Again. No offence.”
In response the psychic explains: “Your spirit guides are telling me there’s a woman in your life you’re having problems with. A specific woman you’re in a romantic relationship with.
“Does she work in a similar field to you? They’re telling me you’re having difficulty being close to her. He should give himself to this relationship. Once he does, all his other pursuits will come into focus.”
Fans will know Sheldon had difficulty opening up at the beginning of the relationship, but it seems the psychic predicted the pair would eventually get married and win the Nobel Prize.
The Big Bang Theory season 12 is available on CBS and All4.
