Which one takes your fancy? (Picture: Slip/Amazon/Liberty/Mayfair Silk/Boucleme/Lily silk)

There are a number of benefits to using a silk pillowcase, but the main one is a bit more time in the morning.

Depending on your hair and skin, a traditional cotton pillowcase can leave with crease marks on your face and frizzy hair in the morning.

Due to the friction-free silk fabric, though, your hair will be less inclined to matt in the night and your face is less likely to take on the dreaded pillow marks.

Long-term, sleeping on a silk pillowcase can reduce wrinkles and boost skin’s hydration, because silk absorbs less moisture than cotton.

We’ve rounded up some of the best on the market here in the UK, with prices starting from under £15, and heading all the way up to some more high-end options.
