CAMPING holidays can be great but but they aren’t for everyone.

A: Camping has moved on from frame tents and separate groundsheets and with the right kit you can now look forward to a fantastic time – and a great night’s sleep.

If you can’t lay your hands on any camping kit though, glamping might be the answer.

Tents come pre-pitched and you can unload your bags straight from your car without having to think about poles or tent pegs first.

The cost of a week’s glamping varies – some tents come equipped with everything you could ever imagine and cost more than if you were staying in a 5* hotel.

And there are more affordable operators out there too.

Ready Camp from The Camping and Caravanning Club has spacious safari-style tents at 45 locations across the UK and many of these campsites have dedicated parent and baby rooms.

They’re peace of mind for lots of parents who may be worried about night-time or early morning trips to the loo.

The Ready Camp glamping tents at the Club’s Scarborough site are perfect for a trip to the seaside and there’s even an on-site fish and chip shop.

Prices for a week in August start from £688 and each tent can sleep up to six.
