The Beatles breakup: Paul McCartney’s ‘out of control rage’ at John Lennon – ‘You’ll PAY’


Allegedly, McCartney “went completely out of control”, shaking his finger at Ringo and shouting, “I’ll finish you all! You’ll pay!”

In the end, The Beatles drummer told Lennon and Harrison they should let him have the April 17 date, so Let It Be was moved to early May.

Nevertheless, just a week and a half later McCartney told the press he was leaving The Beatles.

In the years since, he’s admitted to regretting how the band broke up, saying: “The business side really crept in and got a bit sticky. I regret that.”
