The Bay’s Morven Christie has a famous pop star boyfriend – and they’ve been secretly dating for over a year


ACTRESS Morven Christie has been winning over audiences for her portrayal as DS Lisa Armstrong in ITV’s new drama The Bay.

Away from the cameras, the Scottish star has been enjoying a happy personal life with CHVRCHES musician Iain Cook, 44, who she’s been dating for over a year.

The 37-year-old actress, who has also starred in The A Word, Doctor Who and The Replacement, first teased at their blossoming romance in January 2018, by referencing their first date on Instagram.

Although coy in the beginning, Morven’s Instagram is littered with photos with the music star, joining him at TV appearances, festival performances and then away from the spotlight.

Equally supportive of her career, Ian, who is also a Glasgow native, urged his social media followers to tune into his other half on the ITV drama.

Sharing a promo shot of The Bay, he said: “The Bay – itv March 20th 9pm. Get it watched!

The electronic artist Ian paid tribute to Morven in December as they celebrated their first anniversary together.

Sharing a sweet black and white selfie of themselves together, he wrote: “A year ago today I went on a first date with this lady.

“She amazes and inspires me aw the time. Happy Holiday to you all. X”

The Grantchester actress was previously married to Scottish director and writer Scott Graham.

The pair tied the knot in February 2012 but sadly parted ways three years later.

Despite separating, Morven previously told You Magazine in 2017 that, “he’s still a really good friend”.
