The Bachelor's Elly Miles buries the hatchet with rival Abbie Chatfield

‘No one deserves to have that kind of hate thrown at them’: The Bachelor’s Elly Miles buries the hatchet with rival Abbie Chatfield and defends her amid fierce backlash

She called out Abbie Chatfield several times for being manipulative and ‘playing a game’ in the Bachelor mansion.

But Elly Miles has well and truly buried the hatchet with her rival in light of the ‘hate’ she has received on social media.

The 24-year-old nurse defended Abbie in an interview with 10 Daily, saying: ‘No one deserves to have that kind of hate thrown at them. Some of the things said about her are just so nasty.’

Abbie has previously blamed the show’s editing for making her look like the villain, and insists there is more to her personality than the person portrayed on screen.

‘There’s been so many awful comments directed at [Abbie] and it just sucks because it was all from a situation that was intensified,’ Elly said.

Elly also revealed the two women had spoken to each other when the first episode premiered and are now on good terms.

‘Things were said about each other on-screen and whatnot, but it’s fine – it happened with all of the girls,’ she added.

It comes after Elly said that she regretted badmouthing Abbie in her final date with Matt Agnew before her shock elimination on Wednesday.

On Thursday’s episode of The Project, host Lisa Wilkinson asked Elly if she wished she had ‘just kept [her] mouth shut.’

‘It probably would have saved me a lot of stress! So thinking of it from that angle… yes,’ she replied.

‘But I thought [at the time] I was doing the right thing,’ she added.
