THE Apprentice’s Claude Littner blasted this year’s contestants after the bizarre moment one mistook a rhino for an elephant.
The 70-year-old businessman is Lord Alan Sugar’s right-hand-man on the BBC One show, which returns to our screens next week.
In the first episode, the boys’ team take a group of tourists on a safari, with 30-year-old events manager Riyonn Farsad gesturing to some rhinos as he explains: “I think we will see elephants and if you look to your left now there’s the elephants.”
The entire group then burst into hysterics, with Claude showing his dismay at the candidate’s lack of common sense.
Reflecting on the safari incident, exasperated Claude exclaimed: “One group has to organise a safari tour.
“But one of the candidates points out an elephant… Except it’s a rhino!”
He was left further stunned when Lubna Farhan struggled to work out where a wine cellar should be.
Fed-up Claude tartly explained: “A cellar is downstairs.”
The Sun Online previously revealed that the Apprentice 2019’s line-up is the sexiest ever, including a Venezuelan ex-model, Dragons’ Den star and hot baker.
Sixteen eager entrepreneurs are preparing to compete against one another to become Lord Sugar’s next business partner and the competition looks impressive.
Last year, Lord Sugar selected 25-year-old swimwear brand owner Sian Gabbidon as the winner of the series with runner-up Camilla Ainsworth, a nut milk brand owner.
The Apprentice returns to our screens at Wednesday 3rd October at 9pm on BBC One
