The Amazing Race season two is under threat due to coronavirus fears – as producers scramble to find a safe international route
Production of The Amazing Race Australia, hosted by ex-NRL star Beau Ryan, is under threat due to coronavirus fears.
A Channel 10 spokesman told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday: ‘We are seeking advice to determine the international route for the upcoming season of The Amazing Race Australia, ahead of the start of production in June 2020.
‘The welfare of cast and crew is of the upmost importance and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure their protection.’

Channel 10’s first season of The Amazing Race premiered in October 2019, but this year’s season will likely be pushed back because to the coronavirus outbreak.
Filming is provisionally due to start in June, but producers do not know which countries will be affected by coronavirus then.
Last year’s The Amazing Race began filming in South Korea, which currently has 4,335 coronavirus cases and 26 deaths.

It also stopped by Thailand, which has 43 cases and one death, as well as Vietnam, which has 16 cases.
The Amazing Race route for 2020 might also need to steer clear of Europe, where there are outbreaks in multiple countries.
In Italy, there are 2,036 cases and 32 deaths, while France has suffered 130 cases and two deaths.

But most of the African and South American continents have been largely unaffected by the coronavirus so far, making them a safer bet than Europe, Asia and North America, as of now.
Channel 10 resurrected The Amazing Race last year after acquiring the rights from the Seven Network.
Last year’s season was won by newlyweds Tim and Rod Sattler-Jones.
