Zendaya‘s first collection for Tommy Hilfiger, out earlier this year, was heavily 70s-inspired, so it should come as no surprise that her autumn line features luxurious velvet suiting, glamorous fedora hats and major animal prints.
It’s power dressing in the very best way possible, with well-cut, bootcut trouser suits forming the backbone of the new season offering.
Busy prints – such as buffalo plaids, houndstooth, and even a new take on monochrome with a tiny ‘ZTH’ monogram woven all over – are rife, and provide a richness to the already expensive-looking fabrics of creamy leathers, faux furs and plush velvets used by the newfound design duo.
And it’s not just the apparel that we’re into, with swimwear, lingerie, sleepwear, footwear, jewellery and accessories serving serious sartorial excellence. Anyone would think this is the actress/singer’s full time job…
Ten styles will feature Tommy’s adaptive modifications – a key part of the brand’s offering that accommodates people living with disabilities.
The collection will debut during the TOMMYNOW runway extravaganza at New York Fashion Week on September 8th, when looks will become immediately available in more than 70 countries. Clever, huh?!
