Recalling Nintendo’s very earliest handheld, the red-and-gold Game and Watch, the
Game Boy Micro is beautifully minimalist, just four inches wide, with a bright, backlit screen. Its start and select buttons glow blue and red. It is made of aluminium – a decision taken, said designer Kenichi Sugino, to make people want to touch it.
