Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, 50, and Vernon Kay, 43, tied the knot in 2003.
The showbiz duo have two daughters together Phoebe, 14, and Amber, 10.
When quizzed if her and Vernon still find time to enjoy quality time together, she said: “We haven’t for a month or so but we do still get dressed up and go out for the occasional dinner.
“We go out with friends too, but more often than not it’s with the kids. Sad, I know!
“But as they get older, they don’t want to be left out they want to join us.”
When quizzed how her and Vernon have made their long-term relationship work, Tess insisted it was all down to “quality time”.
“It’s always great to take off,” she added. “Even if it’s just for an adult conversation over a plate of sushi instead of dodging the dogs balls at dinner time with the kids.”
She added: “It’s nice to say: ‘Okay, hang on, let’s take little bit of me time’.”
Elsewhere, Tess and Claudia are currently preparing to present the imminent series of Strictly Come Dancing.
In the same chat, Tess Daly spoke out about the line-up which is gradually being unveiled.
Ahead of the first names being revealed tonight, she said: “I can’t wait. I’m hearing it’s a really great line-up this year.
“I know a few of the names already and they are excellent!”
Tonight, the first three celebrities were announced during The One Show.
Hosts Stacey Dooley, 32, and Matt Baker, 41, revealed David James, Chris Ramsey and Emma Barton have signed up for the show.
Earlier this year, Claudia previously admitted she is no longer told who is on the line-up after previously letting slip who had signed up.
Speaking on This Morning, she said: “They tell me now after they tell the press, because one year they brought me in and said, ‘Claudia this is very secret, lock the doors, phones off, eyes down, here’s who’s doing it’ and I was like, ‘right gotcha’.
“[I] got in the lift at the BBC, went down, and someone said, ‘Oh yeah you do the Strictly show, do you know who’s doing it?’, I said the whole list.”
“I said, ‘You’re not gonna believe who’s doing it’ and they said afterwards, ‘She’s a bit leaky’. On so many levels’.”
