Arnold was forced to evacuate his house

The premiere for Terminator: Dark Fate has been cancelled due to bushfires threatening thousands of home in Los Angeles, as Arnold Schwarzenegger was forced to evacuate.

The star of the latest action epic is among a bunch of stars who were told to leave their homes overnight, after fires raged in the Pacific Palisades area.

Arnold and co-star Linda Hamilton were set to attend a glitzy ceremony at Hollywood’s historic TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday evening before Paramount pulled the plug after the growing Getty Fire, burning on the west side of Los Angeles, broke out at about 1.30am local time along the 405 Freeway.

Taking to social media on Monday, the actor revealed he left his home at 3.30am.

‘We evacuated safely at 3:30 this morning. If you are in an evacuation zone, don’t screw around. Get out,’ Arnold wrote on Twitter.

‘Right now I am grateful for the best firefighters in the world, the true action heroes who charge into the danger to protect their fellow Californians. #GettyFire.’

Pictures later emerged of a plane dropping flame retardant on houses in his area, as ex-wife Maria Shriver evacuated her home, as did his daughter Katherine and her husband Chris Pratt apparently.

In a statement tonight, Paramount Pictures said: ‘In light of the ongoing, active fires being battled in the area, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have cancelled tonight’s Los Angeles premiere of Terminator: Dark Fate.

‘We will be donating food intended for the after-party to the American Red Cross, which is serving those affected by the fires.’

LeBron James also revealed he was forced to leave his home as he took to social media to let everyone knows he was safe after struggling to find a place to stay.

‘Man these LA ? aren’t no joke. Had to emergency evacuate my house and I’ve been driving around with my family trying to get rooms. No luck so far! ??‍♂️,’ he wrote, after leaving around 4am.

He kept fans updated on Twitter, as he said his family finally found a place to stay. ‘I ?? for all the families in the area that could be affected by these ???????????? now! Pretty please get to safety ASAP,’ he wrote.

‘My best wishes as well to the first responders⛑ right now doing what they do best! ????.’
