Team SoloMid Announces Partnership with Venmo

 Team SoloMid Database-Link-e1521645463907 (TSM) has partnered with Venmo, the mobile payments service owned by PayPal. In a tweet, the team claimed that the deal would offer fans “exclusive experiences and chances to interact with your favorite pros like never before.”

 No further details were provided. A source close to the deal told The Esports Observer that the companies will first debut an activation around popular Fortnite Database-Link-e1521645463907 streamer and pro player Ali “Myth” Kabbani, offering players a chance to compete alongside him both live in person and online.

 Another planned activation will see TSM give away cash prizes to fans via Venmo. That sounds similar in approach to a recent activation by team 100 Thieves Database-Link-e1521645463907 and its partner Cash App (owned by financial services company Square Database-Link-e1521645463907). In March, 100 Thieves founder and CEO Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag gave away thousands of dollars to fans via Cash App.

 Kabbani recently appeared in a series of promotional videos with actor Samuel L.
