Team Flash Adds Vietjet Air as Sponsor

Southeast Asian esports organization Team Flash has announced the signing of airline Vietjet Air to a one-year sponsorship deal.

Vietjet Air will handle the team’s domestic and international travel needs for competitions, training, and fan events. The airline was founded in 2007 and flew its first commercial flight in 2011, currently serving 44 destinations with a 67-plane fleet.

“Aiming at becoming a consumer airline, Vietjet has gained popularity in Vietnam and internationally for always pioneering in consumer innovation on [an] e-commerce platform,” said Vietjet Deputy Commercial Director Jay L. Lingeswara, in a release. “We are delighted to partner with a high-potential startup in Team Flash and create favorable conditions for their players to showcase the talents of Asian youths in international competition.”

Team Flash currently competes in Arena of Valor, League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, FIFA, and Free Fire. In September, the organization announced that it had raised $2.1M SGD ($1.5M USD) in a seed round led by Singapore-based family office Octava.
