Taylor Swift's perfect response to 'stupid' question that 'men are never asked'

If you didn’t already know, global superstar Taylor Swift is currently preparing to release her seventh studio album.

Dubbed TS7 by fans, the album is expected to be very different from her last and the 29-year-old has been dropping hints about what’s to come for weeks.

Swift recently released the first single from the new album, a duet with Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie called ME!

Since then she’s been chatting to radio stations and TV hosts about the song and what’s going on in her life – but it seems there’s one question she just won’t answer, and for good reason.

The singer has been on a press tour to promote her new single ME!

As part of the promotional tour of the single, the star spoke with German news outlet Deutsche Press-Agentur.

During the interview Swift was asked about turning 30 in December and whether that meant she was going to settle down, get married and have children soon.

And the Shake It Off Singer was having none of it.

She brilliantly shut down the sexist question, saying: “I really do not think men are asked that question when they turn 30. So I’m not going to answer that.”

But she’s not afraid to stand up for herself when interviewed

Swift did however say that she expects her thirties to continue to be a time when she tries new things and makes mistakes.

She added: “I hear others say when you’re in your thirties you no longer feel as much stress and anxiety in life as in your twenties.

“In our twenties we are looking to gain experience, try things out, fail and make mistakes. But I definitely plan to try and fail in my thirties as well.

“I expect that in our thirties we feel better about who we are. The closer I get to it, the more I feel it happens, hopefully that will be the case.”

Fans of the popstar were thrilled by her refusal to put up with sexist questions and praised her on Twitter for standing up for herself.

One person wrote: “Taylor is living her life her way and that is awesome.”

Another said: “She’s on fire! What a woke queen.”

A third simply branded the question “stupid”, while a fourth commented: “Queen of shutting down sexist questions.”
