Taylor Swift’s lends political song Only The Young to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris endorsement video

Taylor Swift has continued to show her support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ahead of Tuesday’s Presidential election.

The pop star lent her political track Only The Young for use in a new endorsement video which aims to spark the desire for change within young voters.

Eric Swalwell shared the political clip online, which takes a swipe at Donald Trump while highlighting the good Joe Biden and Kamala Harris could do for the country.

The clip kicks off with the voice of Senator Harris as she asks: ‘Why are so many powerful people trying to make it so difficult for us to vote?’

Taylor then sings: ‘They aren’t gonna help us / Too busy helping themselves / They aren’t gonna change this / We gotta do it ourselves.’

All while images of children being separated from their parents at the border, mass shootings and more play out in the clip.

Vice-president hopeful Kamala praised the clip on Twitter as she wrote: ‘Thank you @TaylorSwift13 and my friend @EricSwalwell for showing young people what’s at stake in this election.’

Taylor has been vocal in her criticism of Trump over the past year, and the Love Story hitmaker proudly announced she would be voting for Joe Biden.

She wrote in Vogue magazine: ‘The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of colour deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included.’

On Twitter she posted her cover of V magazine which features a black and white close-up of the star with the word ‘Vote’ in blue over her face.

The Blank Space singer said: ‘I spoke to @vmagazine about why I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president. So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate.’

She also shared a photo of herself holding a huge plate of said cookies that were all decorated with ‘Biden 2020’.
