Taylor Swift’s Christmas Tree Farm video reveals adorable glimpse at star’s childhood with vintage homemade clips

Taylor Swift has given fans a glimpse at her family Christmases in years gone by in the super sweet video for her new festive track.

Christmas Tree Farm was released on Friday morning and the accompanying video is made up of homemade tapes from her childhood.

One snippet  – which is timestamped 25 December 1991 – shows a baby Swift wearing an incredible patterned jumper and being held by her mum, Andrea.

Stockings for Taylor and her parents, mum Andrea and dad Scott, can be seen hanging on the mantelpiece where one for her brother is later added after he was born in 1992.

Another super cute clip shows Taylor as a toddler, giggling as she’s being pulled through the snow on a sledge on the Pennsylvania Christmas tree farm where she grew up (yes, really).

Tweeting the video, the 29-year-old wrote: “I actually did grow up on a Christmas tree farm.

“In a gingerbread house, deep within the yummy gummy gumdrop forest. Where, funnily enough, this song is their national anthem.”

The music video also reveals one of the Lover star’s first brushes with music too as she receives an acoustic guitar as a gift.

The track’s release almost marks the end of a busy year for Swift but the star has one last project debuting – Cats.

The much-talked about movie version of the hit musical will arrive in cinemas later this month and as well as playing Bombalurina, she’s teamed up with the show’s creator Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, to create a brand new song for the film.
